Bridging Knowledge, Empowering Communities
About
S-R-HEd (pronounced S-R-Head) was established in 2023 by Dr. Muti’ah Badru, an Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Muslimah writer with over 20 years of experience. We aim to fill the gap in SRH education within Muslim and other religiously conservative communities, equipping individuals with knowledge that aligns with their faith and values.

Our Vision
To promote sexual and reproductive health and well-being of individuals from religiously conservative backgrounds through accurate, inclusive and culturally sensitive information.

My call with sister Mutia’ah was what I’d describe as a breath of fresh air. She answered a question that has been bothering me for over 10 years in less than 30 minutes and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited.
And the way she spoke to me, the questions she asked, her willingness to listen made it really easy to talk to her, that it almost felt as if I’d known her for years.
Lastly, the amazing work she’s doing in building a community for sisters to to be able to get support and talk freely about our reproductive and sexual health is a topic that is dear to my heart and I definitely can’t wait to be a part of it.

Assalam alaikum Dr. It was a delight speaking to you. Our short session was quite impactful, alhamdulillah: It gave me a clear direction where there was only a general idea; I also feel more able to go on with planning and make decisions. I appreciate it a lot. Keep doing the good work, may Allah aid you, ameen.
